The old Swanton Hill news now exists as the Swanton Hill Google Group. This new mechanism:
- continues as a way for the Swanton Hill Board to notify registered residents of timely news, and
- additionally permits registered residents to communicate with the board and other residents.
Anyone with Internet access can read all Swanton Hill group communications by going to
http://groups.google.com/group/SwantonHill,
and clicking on the Discussions tab.
Swanton Hill residents (and only Swanton Hill residents) can register. Registered residents can also:
- receive E-mail news. E-mail notification of each message sent to the Swanton Hill group are sent to registered residents at the same time the message is added to the group.
- reply to the E-mail news. After reading an E-mail notification, if you want to comment and you want your comment added to the Swanton Hill group, just reply. Your reply will be sent to all registered residents and
will be viewable by anyone on the Internet:
- click your E-mail program Reply button.
- do not modify the "Subject:" line of your reply. If you modify the "Subject:" line, then your comment will not be associated with the corresponding E-mail notification.
- type your message, and press your E-mail program Send button.
- E-mail the group to start a new topic. Your E-mail will be sent to all registered residents and
will be viewable by anyone on the Internet:

from the email account that you would like added to the group. You must specify your name and Swanton Hill address (only Swanton Hill residents may register).
