WEBPAGE UNDER CONSTRUCTION
For this work, you submit an Architectural Request Change; the request must be approved before work begins. The request starts with uploading to the Beacon website supporting documents. The following steps assume you have logged into your Beacon account, and from the Option Panel have opened your My Requests webpage (by clicking on the Paper Airplane).
Open the ARC Request Form. This form has a way to attach files and to submit the request. To open this form:
From your My Requests webpage click the "+ New Request" button.
Click "ARC Request". ARC stands for Architectural Request Change.
Click on “Architectural Request”.
DO NOT CLICK ON THE SUBMIT BUTTON YET, YOU WILL CLICK ON IT AFTER UPLOADING SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS IN STEP 3. Fill in the form’s fields.
You will see a link to download the current version of the Architectural Modification Request Form pdf file. Go ahead and download the pdf, but do not close your ARC Request Form window because you will return to it later to upload supporting documents.
Open the downloaded Architectural Modification Request Form pdf and fill in the form’s fields while taking notes of the supporting documents you plan to upload in the next Step. Yes, the Beacon process requires you to reenter much of the same information again. Save the pdf to be uploaded in the next Step.
Return to your ARC Request Form window
Upload your Architectural Modification Request Form pdf that you just saved.
Upload any additional supporting documents you are providing.
Now, click on the Submit button.
Track the progress of your request. Once your request is submitted, you should track the progress of your request as you might be asked for more information. To track the progress:
From your My Requests webpage, click on your request.
You should see 2 tabs: Details and Messages
Details tab: shows a high-level view of your request including the Date Submitted, the Item Number, files you have attached, and the Status.
PROBLEM: the Beacon website is lacking what the homeowner should expect next, for example:
1 wait for an email in their personal mail, and/or
2 keep checking their Beacon Messages inbox, and/or
3 keep checking their Request webpage entry?
Messages tab: provides information about your initial request and a way to communicate back and forth with Beacon and/or the Swanton Hill board. After clicking on the Messages tab, you can scroll down to see most current messages and you can send a new message and upload new attachments related to your ARC Request.
In tracking the status of your request, you might, for example, be asked to complete some missing information in your Architectural Modification Request Form pdf file that you just uploaded:
If so, first, update your pdf as instructed and save it.
From your My Requests webpage, click on your request, then click on the Messages tab, then scroll to the bottom where you can Attach your updated pdf with a short message.
